Abstract/Summary:
Introduction:
Greenland is, as the rest of the world, experiencing the effects of man‐induced climate change, closely related to the massive human emissions of carbon dioxide during the past century. The implications are dramatic for Greenland, as outlined by Briner et al. (2020). This chapter deals with the background to, and some of the present main observations of the biological response related to the increasing greenhouse effect and stratospheric ozone depletion. The emphasis is on terrestrial plant ecology.
